President (1995-2004)
     Responsible for developing and directing client-oriented projects in distance education, multimedia resources, educational research and evaluation, and strategic communications planning. Clients include colleges and universities, school districts, multi-national organizations, churches, public broadcasters, and publishers. Served as Executive Director of Fairfax Public Access (1997), overseeing the operation of three television channels and a production facility. Established the first public access radio station to be streamed over the Internet.

CABLE IN THE CLASSROOM, Alexandria, VA
Director, Professional Development Institute (1998-2002)
     Designed, developed, and direct the Professional Development Institute, a public service of the cable television industry that trained about 25,000 teachers, school administrators, and parents each year to use video and Internet resources effectively for the education of elementary and secondary school students. Included the development and management of computer training facilities in the Washington, DC area, mobile laptop labs in various regions of the United States, and virtual workshops distributed through the World Wide Web. Qualified the Institute as a Certified Provider of Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

     Managed all aspects of this private educational satellite television and radio station for the Catholic Church. Directed the activities of a staff of 22, with a budget in excess of $2.5 million per year. With the Board of Directors, established corporate policies. Directed Operations, Production, Programming, Business, and Marketing Departments. Created, produced, and hosted TV programs. Represented the company to multiple constituencies.

     Number two person responsible for $10 million per year grantmaking activities of the Annenberg/CPB Project, which used multimedia and telecommunications technologies to provide higher education opportunities to those who could not attend traditional colleges and universities, and to improve the quality of math and science education in K-12 schools. Established grantmaking policies and procedures; developed goals and objectives and set strategies for achieving them; allocated and monitored annual budget; developed and directed the R&D program; prepared annual reports; established a video distribution business; negotiated contracts; conducted research studies and established databases.
